OPENINGS
This piece is a result of many layers of acrylic paint onto a heavily textured canvas. I enjoyed letting the shapes of the piece develop and scraping back paint to reveal some of what lay beneath. |
Series: Landscapes
Although primarily abstract, I think of all these paintings as landscapes. That thinking is reflected in the titles.

Series: Studies in color
In this series of paintings, I set myself a task to try to limit my color choices and to explore what I could do working with limited colors. This exploration inspired me to find more and more wonderful colors by mixing.

Series: Acrylic ink and acrylic paint
In this series I worked with acrylic ink and acrylic paint. It was interesting to incorporate the two types of color and to build a painting that would show the results of the transparent ink and the heavy acrylic paint.
